Christmas 2000

Dear Family and Friends,
Happy Advent! We hope this finds you well. We wanted to share some of the events of our lives with you at this festive time of the year.
It seems quite a bit happens each and every year, but this year saw many life changing events. First and foremost was the healthy birth of Timothy Nelson in March after an uneventful pregnancy (Elizabeth's volleyball team even won regional championships despite the opponents spiking the ball at her 7 month pregnant body). In January Steve flew from his home in Seattle to Brussels and proposed to Juliana. They are planning an April wedding in Columbia, South America. July saw the end of Elizabeth's active duty career and a major life switch to a new full time profession... mom. In October I finished my specialty training at Portsmouth and I now practice Internal Medicine as the clinic specialist at Quantico Marine Corps base outside of Washington, D.C. And lastly, which brings me to the point of this letter (which is inherently obvious as it is snowing outside, something it does not do in Norfolk), we have moved just 48 hours ago and wanted to make you aware of our new address so you will be sure to be in touch and stop by (we are just 4 miles off of route 95)!
May the year 2001 be filled with health, happiness and love for each of you and your family members and may you have a joyous Christmas!
Love,
Brian, Elizabeth and Timothy Nelson
