Christmas letter 2004

Happy Epiphany!!

2005 is off to a great start. The last Christmas letter we sent was years ago and this is only the second one in the eight years we have been married.
Timothy is 4 and his life is ensconced in making contraptions and building things. He thoroughly enjoyed playing soccer in the fall and is excited about the spring season.
Julian enjoys puzzles and any type of computer programs. He is the social butterfly. He loves to read and his favorite possession is his pink Dora the Explorer backpack.
Elizabeth is 30 weeks pregnant and due March 21st. We are very excited and plan on another family name depending on the gender. The boys are more excited and they already have picked a family name for the baby, since August they have called him… Uncle Steve.
Elizabeth continues in the reserves and was promoted to Lieutenant Commander this year (Major in the Army, Air Force and Marines). Her life is filled with the boys and teaching Bradley Childbirth classes weekly.
I continue to work in Internal Medicine. I have gotten involved in executive medicine and traveled extensively this past year evaluating other hospitals for the Surgeon General. I spent a month at the University of South California / LA County Hospital training in Trauma Surgery because I was suppose to deploy to Djoubti, Africa and then to Fallajuah, Iraq. My two friends across the hall leave for Iraq today and many more friends are over there already. I continue to run and read, but mostly spend time with my family.

We have been in Jacksonville for two years now and have extended for another three years so we will be here until 2007. We were blessed with many visitors in the past year and hope that this year will be filled with many more.
We are thinking of you in this New Year, that it may be filled with happiness and health. Please continue to pray for our deployed servicemen and women that they may be safe and have the strength to withstand the separation from their loved ones.
